This is the product I have selected to help me master the bass. I was swayed by Alex Sampson’s passion for the instrument and getting the message across to his public. He has a witty writing style and plenty of personal anecdotes to liven things up.

I’ve only skimmed through this book a couple of times as I’m way back in the first volume right now but take it from me - this is where owners of the course are going to be honing their skills for a long time! Comes complete with over 130 sound samples to accompany the text.

A confession - when I first bought the course I thought I would hardly use the software. Now having reviewed the second volume I realise Alex had the programs produced especially for use with this course (I should have read the sales copy more closely). Each program is designed sharpen a particular skill - who ever heard of a metronome that goes through “silent” periods?

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this course to any bass player. It is one of the best music tutorial packages I’ve ever seen.
PS: I recommend getting the print version of the product as you then won’t have to sit in front of your computer with your instrument. I don’t know about you but my bass is too big to make this comfortable!
